Personal Info
After finishing high school I went for my first longer stay abroad to Ireland, where I participated in various Business English courses and professional tranings. This one year had a big impact on my further life and strengthened my interest in people, social developments, travel and languages. After my return I therefore decided to study Translation of Specialized Texts (EN/ES/DE) at the University of Applied Science in Magdeburg, Germany. During my semester abroad I worked at an independent radio station in Costa Rica, that broadcasted socio-political programs focussing on domestic and foreign politics in North-, Middle- and South America. After finishing my studies me and my freelance colleagues founded Transmute Network, where I have been gaining profound professional experience in various fields since 2005. Furthermore, I have been working freelance for a travel ageny in Costa Rica, where I mainly take care of creating and editing multi-lingual contents for their website and marketing materials as well as vendor support and product development. I consider the South Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica and the vivid city of Berlin in Germany my home.
Interests
I am especially interested in current social and political developments in Europe and Latin America, feminist movements, youth culture and the theory and practice of independent radio broadcast. My passions are travelling, street art and a wide sprectrum of music genres, spoken word and experimental soundprojects.
