Successful translations in the fields of political and social sciences require a highly developed analytical ability in the respective academic fields – apart from the appropiate linguistic knowledge. There’s a lot more to know than just the replacement of words with their equivalents in the target language. The translators of transmute are very familiar with scientific work and the corresponding specific terminology and guarantee a precise style, appropiate to the subject. We often work in a bilingual team when translating scientific texts, in order to achieve the highest level of professionalism in both working languages. This is the ideal condition for an excellent translation. Generally, we will not accept any assignments for which we are not fully qualified.
We consider an interdisciplinary approach and networking as a kind of organizational structure that promotes collective knowledge and we take much pleasure in an active exchange regarding text production. Therefore, we have established close relationships between a variety of partners from a wide range of disciplines. We are convinced that the quality of our translations reflects the positive aspects of such collaboration.
In addition to our professional careers as translators we are interested and engaged in various topics and projects. It is our opinion that translation is not conducted within a vacuum, but that language and the use of language are important factors in the process of social change. We therefore consider our profession as an active contribution to theory production, and accordingly, we pay a great deal of attention to a sensitive and concious use of language.
Besides individuals, our customer base consists of smaller political and social initiatives and projects as well as larger organizations that appreciate our individualized service and technical know-how.
